The EGT meter is ideal for monitoring the condition of the engine. On the one hand, you can use this clever instrument to check whether the exhaust gases coming from the engine are so hot that they can cause damage to the engine. In addition, with two-stroke engines there is no way to measure the ratio of the air/fuel mixture in order to tune the carburettor. The EGT meter is also helpful here: an unfavorable mixture ratio can be immediately recognized by the fact that the exhaust gases become very hot.
